Double Rainbow Seen At Buckingham Palace and Westminster On Eve Of Queen Elizabeth II’s Funeral

A double rainbow was seen over Buckingham Palace and Westminster yesterday, Sunday, September 18, the eve of the late Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.

Several pictures were posted on social media, many Brits in the capital were in awe at the sight.

Journalist Annelise Nielsen photographed the astounding scene and reported it, saying: “A rainbow has just appeared in the Sky next to Buckingham Palace while the diplomatic reception is underway. Sensing a bit of a theme here.”

The BBC’s Sophie Raworth also tweeted about the rainbow : “As the sun set over Westminster tonight, the crowd gasped.”

Twitter user, Leanne posted: “Now this is a rainbow. What a special treat for Buckingham tonight.”

When Queen Elizabeth II passed away, a double rainbow was seen over Buckingham Palace. A few minutes after Queen Elizabeth’s passing was announced, the double rainbow emerged over Buckingham Palace.

Today, September 19, is Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.
