Behold Britains New Monarch- King Charles III

In his first speech to the nation after Queen Elizabeth II’s passing at age 96, the King made the announcement.

“As my Heir, William now assumes the Scottish titles which have meant so much to me. He succeeds me as Duke of Cornwall and takes on the responsibilities for the Duchy of Cornwall which I have undertaken for more than five decades,” he said.

“Today, I am proud to create him Prince of Wales, Tywysog Cymru, the country whose title I have been so greatly privileged to bear during so much of my life and duty.”

“With Catherine beside him, our new Prince and Princess of Wales will, I know, continue to inspire and lead our national conversations, helping to bring the marginal to the centre ground where vital help can be given.”

The monarch also commendes Harry, his second son, and Meghan, his wife.

He says he wishes the Duke and Duchess success as they pursue other endeavors abroad.

Charles gave his first speech nearly 24 hours after Queen Elizabeth II’s passing at age 96, the King made the announcement as he spoke to the British people.

The late Queen ruled for 70 years before passing away at 96.

Her children, Charles, Anna, Andrew, and Edward, as well as numerous grandkids and great grandchildren, survived her.
