Anthony Joshua Becomes No 6 in New WBC Heavyweight Rankings

Anthony Joshua, a British-Nigerian boxer, has become the WBC heavyweight rankings in anticipation of a potential all-British fight with Tyson Fury.

The British-Nigerian was moved up to No. 6 in the WBC heavyweight top 15 rankings as a result of two losses to Oleksandr Usyk, who won the WBA, IBF, and WBO titles in their rematch last month in Saudi Arabia by split decision.

Right now, Deontay Wilder and Andy Ruiz Jr. are in first and second place, respectively.

Following the announcement by Joshua’s management that they had agreed to Fury’s demands prior to a potential all-British superfight on December 3, this has happened.

Joshua’s management firm 258 MGT released a statement on Monday. It reads: “258 and Matchroom Boxing can confirm, on behalf of Anthony Joshua, that we accepted all terms presented to us by Tyson Fury’s team for a fight Dec 3 last Friday.

“Due to the Queen’s passing, it was agreed to halt all communication. We are awaiting a response.”

Frank Warren, Fury’s manager, responded right away. He responded by tweeting.“Contract will be with you very soon.”

Here is the WBC Heavyweight Rankings below.
